You can go the other direction and have an aperitif at Café Flore or at Les Deux Magots, shop at the classiest boutiques on the rue du Four, Vaugirard, Cherche Midi or rue de Sevres. Take a stroll along the Blvd. St. Germain, go to the open market on the Blvd. Raspail, hit the small shops of the rue du Bac. Every street in this incredible neighbourhood is filled with delightful surprises for the body (rue de Buci - great gastronomic treats), the mind (rue du Seine - full of bookstores and galleries), the spirit (the Place Furstenberg where Ingres had his studio) and the soul (St. Suplice - one of Paris' most beautiful churches with a marvelous square in front of it.)
